SYNC 4 Infotainment

SYNC 4 is one iteration of Ford’s infotainment technology in the vehicle. Starting in 2019, I served as one of the designers on a rapid prototyping SYNC team. I conducted user research (70+ interviews), designed wireframes, executed experiments, and collaborated with the infotainment Sync 4 production teams for several in-vehicle and mobile (FordPass) experiences. An existing design system for SYNC 4 was used to design the experiences.

    Activating a charging trial from the vehicle.

  • Downloading Apps

    Downloading new apps onto the vehicle’s infotainment system

  • Ordering Coffee

    Ordering coffee from a app on the vehicle infotainment system

  • Scheduling Maintenance

    Scheduling a service appointment from the vehicle when the car identifies an issue
